Meet the professional band members of Physical Graffiti, a Led Zeppelin Tribute Show in Chicago

Rick Barnes

Rick is a veteran of the Chicago music scene playing both originals and covers.

His interest in music began at an early age by listening to rock, pop, Motown, and folk music on the radio.

His guitar playing is influenced by Led Zeppelin, Rush, Aerosmith, Pink Floyd, and many other classic rock bands of the 70’s & 80’s.

Rick plays Gibson Les Paul guitars and Line 6 Helix amplification.

Eli Bennett

Eli has been playing bass in rock bands since the late 70s, mostly weddings through the 80s, moving to the bar band scene in the 90s.

He’s played smooth jazz, blues, funk, rock, straightahead jazz, classic rock, and even a short stint in a country band, on fretted and fretless basses up to 7 strings!

Eli met Rick in 2005 in Black Pearl, and with him founded Physical Graffiti years ago, in days of old (2017), when magic filled the air.

Brian Lamberty

Brian has been in several bands in the Chicago Suburbs through the last 15 years playing both covers and original music in a variety of styles.

His drumming is influenced by rock and jazz, drawing heavily from John Bonham, Neil Peart, Tony Williams, and Barrie Barlow.

Brian plays Premier drums, Paiste cymbals, and uses Vic Firth drumsticks and Evans drumheads.

Peter Merkle

The Illinois Entertainer hailed his vocal performance as: “Awe-inspiring!”.

Peter’s captivating, high-energy shows transport audiences back to when Led Zeppelin ruled concert stages across the world.

Gary Loizzo two time Grammy nominated recording engineer, best known for being the lead singer with The American Breed proclaimed: “Really great voice!”

Peter has played more events than you can count, and has been invited back for performances at local festivals, clubs, and concert stages across the country.

His original songs have been featured in film soundtracks such as Crazy Road to Love and Hopelessly Ever After.

Gary U.S. Bonds rhythm & blues, rock & roll singer, and prolific songwriter, who’s “Quarter to Three” appears on The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame’s 500 Songs That Shaped Rock and Roll list; had this to say after sharing the stage with Peter:

“You are one singing Mother $%*#@&!!”
