FAQ

Does Physical Graffiti recreate the sounds of Led Zeppelin?

Physical Graffiti takes the studio recordings of Led Zeppelin, performs them as a 4 member band, throwing in a few surprises that audiences love.

What you get is faithful and solid studio renditions, performed by 4 professional musicians, blended with the excitement of a sing-a-long, dancing, Live concert show.

Does Physical Graffiti travel out of state?

Physical Graffiti has been known to travel across nearby state lines and venture out to the land beyond O’Hare Airport.

Promoters and booking agents hire bands based on how many people they feel will attend the event.

If you have a venue you’d like to see PhyGraf at, letting venues and show promoters know you would attend an event is the absolute best way to make this happen.

Do you perform with other bands on the bill, or is it just you?

PG has performed many shows where it’s just ALL Led Zeppelin, ALL night long!

But some very memorable shows have been together with other great bands paying tribute to artists you love. Bad Company, Foreigner, Heart, The Doors, Cheap Trick, Rod Stewart, The Rolling Stones, The Allman Brothers, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Foo Fighters, Thin Lizzy, Dokken, Ratt, Cinderella, Metallica, The Police, Rush, Black Sabbath…. to name just a few.

There are other local Zeppelin “tribute” shows and touring groups. Why should I go see Physical Graffiti?

There are hugely devoted fans to many of the various Led Zeppelin tributes that come to the Midwest. Fans, just like Physical Graffiti, can’t get enough of Led Zeppelin!

What people say when they have experienced a Physical Graffiti Chicago show is:

“I like you guys better than that other group!”

Now that’s saying a lot, and it’s quite the compliment.

Physical Graffiti likes and respects many of the other Led Zeppelin tributes and are honored to be counted among those who are keeping this music alive.

Do you wear the costumes?

For Physical Graffiti it’s all about Led Zeppelin’s music and creating a dynamic concert experience that audiences enjoy and keep coming back to see.

PG doesn’t adhere to the tribute philosophy that dictates not having to sound as good as the original as long as you look like them.

Instead they put a tremendous amount of energy into a performance that audiences come back to see again and again.

What audiences say is: “You don’t have to wear the wig, I love your show!”

Are Physical Graffiti Shows All Ages?

Many of PG’s shows are open to young and old.

It’s wonderful to see folks who are familiar with Led Zeppelin bring their children along for their first time.

It’s even more amazing to have groups of the next generation show up at a show and know all the songs!

There are some Led Zeppelin lyrics that range from subtle to blatant. So this would be your only consideration to bringing the youngin’s to an event.

How long has the band been together?

Physical Graffiti Chicago was started by veterans of the local music scene in 2017 out of a passion to play the music of Led Zeppelin. The current lineup has been together since 2019.

What is the setlist like from show to show?

Physical Graffiti plays all the well-known Zeppelin hits, plus some deep-cuts you may not have heard before.

They take extra pride in mixing it up for themselves and fans alike.

With a huge catalog of music to choose from PhyGraf keeps it interesting from show to show, and when returning to a familiar venue they make certain to keep it rocking.

Is there a lady who’s sure all that glitters is gold?

Yes there is! Does anybody remember laughter!?

How long are your shows?

Show length times will vary from one event to the next.

Some things to consider are if another band is on the bill or whether PG is playing a solid set or two sets.

Concerts can be anywhere from 90 minutes to nearly 3 hours.

Whatever the length, Physical Graffiti will keep you satisfied and make you want to come back for more!

Does the band play Led Zeppelin Deep Cuts?

Are you thinking Traveling Riverside Blues, The Rover, Custard Pie, The Rain Song, Out On The Tiles, Hey Hey What Can I Do?, Houses Of The Holy, Dancin’ Days, The Lemon Song, Trampled Underfoot, Achilles Last Stand!?

Then you are in for a supreme treat.

If there’s a song you want to hear, let the band know, it might just pop up next time you Rock Out with Physical Graffiti!
